Mississauga, ON, Canada, November 15, 2013 – StrataPlush HD™ polyurethane flexible laminate coverstock foam technology provides all the benefits of standard StrataPlush™ foams, with improved crisp definition, superior resistance to mottling, higher firmness range and reduced thickness opportunity as low as 2 mm, while maintaining outstanding process performance. This coverstock laminate foam innovation is designed to be used in a variety of automotive interior trim applications that have difficult forming process challenges.

Domenic Sinopoli, Executive Director of Sales & Business Development, The Woodbridge Group, states, “I’m very excited about the launch of our new StrataPlush HD™ coverstock foam. What makes this product unique is its excellent surface appearance over very complex geometries. Regardless of the forming processes, or the material used in the core substrate, we have demonstrated excellent results, with various OEM headliner programs. As you can see at the Tokyo Motor Show, Asian OEMs continue to offer interesting designs in their interiors. StrataPlush HD™ foam offers even greater design flexibility going forward.”

StrataPlush HD™ foams seamlessly tie into highly efficient processes which laminate coverstock foams to all fabric types. Formulations are specifically engineered for wet and dry forming. StrataPlush HD™ foams are manufactured in flat and round buns, and are offered in both polyether and polyester grades. StrataPlush HD™ foams are specifically engineered to improve processing and finished appearance for programs with challenging design requirements.
