Dual Hardness Foam
Woodbridge dual hardness head restraint foam process significantly improves comfort and weight-save by eliminating topper pad components and secondary processing. Our in-house molded foam capabilities allow us to target areas in the center portion of the head restraint, combined with a firm perimeter foam, to provide a crisp finished trim appearance.
The formulation provides the low hardness or low ball rebound, strain-rate sensitive characteristic. Dual hardness foam provides a soft initial touch for comfort, a robust shape for improved craftsmanship, and reacts to sudden impact forces, which provides the firmness required for compliance with FMVSS 202Arequirements.
